“Entrepreneurs either grew up in a really competitive environment or they joined the business world because they wanted to be in one. And when this meets endless opportunity, what you’ll find is that magic happens” were the captivating words of Justin Cobb during his speech at this year’s Northeast Awards ceremony.
During his speech, VP and entrepreneur Justin Cobb spoke to his business partners and the award winners of the evening about lessons he learned when he decided to become an entrepreneur. The most significant lesson Justin learned, is the one where everything begins, where all success stems from; being able to talk big again. Being around other entrepreneurs and businesspeople who had great goals and ambitions, gave him back the ability to dream again, to talk big again, and know that he can do something. This reminded Justin that he had stopped talking about his dreams out of fear of doubt or of the possibility of pushing people away, but for what? All successful people talk about their goals because giving them energy gives them life, and so Justin re-realized the power of talking big. But of course, a person has to be prepared to put in the actions as much as they can talk.
Justin Cobb closed his audience with his infamous passion and energy, “Whatever it is that you find that unlocks the things that you get excited about, here’s my advice, when you find something that you think can get you what you want, that is worth your time — just go for it. Don’t be afraid to fail, just go for it. From my own experience, there were so many times where it was hard, there were so many times when I didn’t feel like it, and when I left the house questioning if I could even do it, but your dreams are far too important to do anything, other than to do them the right way.
